1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Dealeats ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must not use the Platform. These terms apply to all users, including visitors, registered users, and businesses that submit content.

2. Description of Service

Dealeats is a community-driven platform that aggregates, curates, and promotes food and drink deals from restaurants, bars, and other venues in Edmonton, Alberta. The Platform allows users to browse, save, and share deals, and allows businesses to submit and manage their own listings.

3. User Accounts and Responsibilities

Users may register for an account to access additional features. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep your account details current. You may not use another person's account without permission.

4. Business Listings and Deal Accuracy

Businesses that submit deals to the Platform take sole responsibility for the accuracy of their listings, including pricing, hours, availability, and any conditions or restrictions. Dealeats does not verify the accuracy of business-submitted content and makes no representations about the reliability of listed deals. Businesses must ensure their listings comply with applicable laws and do not contain misleading information.

5. User-Generated Content

Users may submit deals, reviews, and other content to the Platform. By submitting content, you grant Dealeats a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual licence to use, display, and distribute that content in connection with the Platform. You represent that you have the right to submit the content and that it does not infringe any third-party rights.

6. Content Moderation Rights

Dealeats reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to review, edit, remove, or decline any content that violates these Terms, our Content Policy, or that we determine to be harmful, inaccurate, misleading, or otherwise inappropriate. We are not obligated to provide advance notice before removing content.

7. No Guarantee of Accuracy

Deals on Dealeats are submitted by users and businesses and may not always be current or accurate. DEALEATS DOES NOT GUARANTEE THE ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, OR AVAILABILITY OF ANY DEAL LISTED ON THE PLATFORM. You should always confirm deal details directly with the venue before visiting. Deal terms, prices, and availability can change without notice.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Dealeats and its operators, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of revenue, loss of data, or any losses arising from your use of or inability to use the Platform or any deals listed on it. Our total liability for any claim arising out of these Terms shall not exceed CAD $50.

9. Prohibited Uses

You may not use the Platform to: submit false, misleading, or fraudulent content; scrape, harvest, or systematically collect data without permission; spam, harass, or abuse other users or businesses; impersonate any person or entity; violate any applicable law or regulation; attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Platform.

10. Intellectual Property

All content, trademarks, logos, and intellectual property on the Platform that is not user-generated belongs to Dealeats or its licensors. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without written permission.

11. Termination of Access

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Platform at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we determine violates these Terms or is otherwise harmful to other users, businesses, or the Platform.

12. Third-Party Links

The Platform may contain links to third-party websites or services. Dealeats is not responsible for the content, privacy practices, or availability of third-party sites. Visiting third-party links is at your own risk.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify users through the Platform or via email. Continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Alberta, Canada.

15. Minimum Age

Dealeats is not intended for use by individuals under 18 years of age, consistent with our Privacy Policy. By using the Platform, you represent that you are at least 18 years old. If we become aware that a user is under 18, we will take reasonable steps to remove their account and associated data.
